La Crosse Wisconsin | Mini Trip

We recently took a trip to La Crosse Wisconsin and may I say I wish we had gone sooner! We started our trip by enjoying a retro type lunch at Rudy’s Drive-in. Our meals were brought to us by waitresses in roller-skates – how fun! Zelli even had a a mini root beer to go with her hot dog. After lunch we headed to see the wonderful views La Crosse Wisconsin has to offer.  The best place to take in all the beauty is at Grandad Bluff, the largest bluff in La Crosse Wisconsin. Beautiful views and trails to take in the breath taking sights La Crosse Wisconsin has to offer. We headed back into town were luckily we happened to be in La Crosse Wisconsin during one of their farmers’ markets. It was very large with a great selection of produce, flowers, homemade sweets and handmade art crafts. There are multiple farmers’ markets in La Crosse Wisconsin, click here for details. We headed on to one thing we made sure to do, a boat tour of the Mississippi. It is sure a wonderful experience to be on the great Mississippi, enjoying the breeze and the bluffs side to side. We watched a bridge turn, one of the few left that turn most lift up. The boat we went on was The Queen and what a beauty it was! It even had an authentic split sternwheel to view and enjoy. La Crosse Wisconsin has much to offer and here are a few other must go to’s: The Children’s Museum, right downtown La Crosse Wisconsin, where the kiddos will have loads of fun with exhibits and activities on three floors. To treat everyone for something sweet, head down to Pearl Street and enjoy homemade ice cream at The Pearl Ice Cream Parlor, a locally recommended place. Another great place is Dahl Auto Museum, where you can marvel at collector cars and learn about the history of the Dahl family in over 5 generations in the automobile industry. I hope you take time to travel to La Crosse Wisconsin, where you will find beauty and fun for the whole family. Another way to take in La Crosse Wisconsin, is to just walk. The downtown area is cozy enough, where you can enjoy a days walk through out the town. Many shops, coffee places and eateries to enjoy a yummy break. Also the neighborhoods are filled with historical homes and mansion type estates – a gorgeous walk.
